Kudos to Reseda Family Literacy staff and families for hosting an informational booth at the Reseda Family Resource fair. There were about 800 people participating. Every booth was a family resource type booth including city services. Families in attendance completed a safety survey, received a light lunch, door prize tickets, and t-shirts. Two Reseda families won prizes including a one month family membership to the YMCA. The family literacy booth was very well received.

bullet Congratulations to the Long Beach Family Literacy program staff and families. Long Beach was one of 20 schools, libraries and community-based organizations in the county that received a $500 mini-grant to use the Wonderopolis website with the families in their existing program.
